It seems now it leaps something less than it did: for stone is weightier stuff than flesh, and feels thy touch much less. The time may come — nay! Come it has. I feel now no love left within my breast. Thou hast, not that thou wanted, but asked. Be now content; think not of the riches which would have been thine, hadst thou only waited, not asked. *
